Application Privacy Policy

Notes: Terms use in this privacy policy as intended to mean as follows:

• The term “application” refers to Mark Where I Left It! app.
• The term “device”, refers to the iPhone that the app is installed on.

STATE WHAT DATA MY APPLICATION COLLECTS:

The only User Data collected is Location Data, exclusively longitude, latitude and speed.  This data is stored on the local device only, the same device for which this application resides.  No communication mechanisms are included in the application, so no User Location Data is passed from the local device.  Only the device’s user interface display is used to communicate Location Data to the user.

No user identity related information is required, or collected, by the application.  The application does NOT use, and will not request access to, any user data such as device identity, stored contact information, phone, pictures, camera, passwords, or data stored by other applications.  No third-party analytics gathering is used.

No advertising is included with this application, so no data sharing links or communications for the purpose of advertising is included.

EXPLAIN HOW I COLLECT USER DATA:

Location Data is requested from the local device’s Location Manager components (GPS and software), via published APIs.  No third-party software components or libraries were used to create the application.  This Location Data is displayed to the user when the application is in use.  A specific location, consisting of longitude, latitude, speed, and location accuracy, can be stored on the local device if the user chooses.  The act of saving this Location Data ensures it is saved for later use and reference by the application.

EXPLAIN HOW I USE USER DATA:

The Location Data is used by the application, in conjunction with the local device’s Location Manager components (GPS and software), to allow the user to return to the user’s previous saved location.

CONFIRM RECIPIENTS OF USER DATA ARE COMPLIANT WITH APPLE POLICIES:

The application’s displayed and saved Location Data is not shared with any third-party recipients.  This Location Data is not shared by the application since the application has no included communication mechanisms.

EXPLAIN MY DATA RETENTION AND DELETION POLICIES:

The application only saves a user selected specific Location, longitude, latitude, speed, and location accuracy.  This Location Data is only stored locally, within the application’s own allotted storage.  This Location Data’s storage cannot be accessed, shared, transferred, or viewed, other than as presented on the device’s display.  The location on the device, where the saved Location Data is stored, cannot be selected of changed by the user of the application.  If, or when, the application is deleted from the device, the user can choose to delete any and all stored Location Data and settings.
